Surprise, surpise! I got myself *gasp* new skincare trial package to try on. I should kick myself for being unable to resist the temptation. But when I look upon the Benefit b.right skincare range, I just couldn’t help myself, because the packaging is so cute and they’ve got this mini trial size that is just perfect for two weeks to a month of use.
The initial review that I’ve read said that it’s perfect for those that just started their routine on skincare and are not looking for any fancy benefits in their skincare. Considering I’m on skincare detoxification state, where I don’t want things to be to complicated, this looks perfect for me. Onto the review.

The Star Ingredients:
Benefit b.right refined finish facial polish - fine grain to gently exfoliate. Seaweed and natural clay extracts to purify the skin, minimize the appearance of pores, and even out the skin tone and complexion. Basically it’s a facial scrub with fancy name.
Benefit b.right moisture prep toning lotion – meadowsweet, oat and botanical extracts are known to purify and smooth the skin. Aloe leaf and yeast extract to clarify and soothe the skin as well as to hydrate.
Benefit b.right triple performing facial emulsion SPF 15 PA++ - oil-free, with UVA and UVB protection. Tri-radiance complex to lock in moisture and gives long hydration. Vitamin E to give nourishment to the skin and a known antioxidant.
Benefit b.right total moisture facial cream – a rich cream that also contains tri-radiance complex. With extra hydration from mango butter, a plant-based emollient. Perfect moisturizer for dry and normal skin.
Benefit b.right it’s potent! eye cream - burnet and cocoa extracts to brighten eye areas and minimize the appearance of dark circles. Peptide complex and botanical apple extract to boost collagen, reduce fine lines and under-eye bags. Absorbed easily by the skin.
The Packaging and Formula:
The packaging is a really lovely vintage-like light seafoam green glass bottles and jars, with the exception of the facial scrub and cleanser that are made out of thick plastic bottle. It’s love at the first sight with the packaging. I have to confess that is packaging first and formulation second. I would talk more about the formulation and feel on my verdict. The trial size tries to mimic the real size packaging, but the full-sized products are even lovelier with the lid and screw-top looking like cork but actually made out of plastic. Due to the glass packaging, most of products are really heavy!
And it is scented that you can sniff even without opening the packaging. I don’t mind at all as it is really nice. But I know some people would. I don’t find the fragrance to be an irritant for me.

The Review: Going to do this in the order of preference (with their individual prices and original sizes), like Wulan did for the L’Occitane Immortelle, so you can decide which individual product to buy.
Benefit b.right total moisture facial cream 60ml ($38) – I love this creamy moisturizer because my skin is dry and dehydrated. It doesn’t have too-complex ingredients so it’s perfect for everyone to use. Though it’s creamy, surprisingly, it’s not too oily nor watery. Dries out to satiny texture. Keeps your skin hydrated all day long and when you use it at night, you get that lit-from-within glow that the skincare range promises. Reasonably priced for the size. It may be too rich for oily skin, though I’ve read reviews on how it works for oily/combination skin for night time usage.
Benefit b.right moisture prep toning lotion 175ml ($29) - this preps your skin before you continue with any other product. Because it contains oat, it feels calming on the skin. It also hydrates my skin well and makes it look supple. I notice that my moisturizer sinks in faster. Just tad pricey though, given the size.
Benefit b.right it’s potent! eye cream 15ml ($32) – I’m intrigued by this because of the good reviews I read about this stuff and that it lives up to my expectation. Soften the fine lines on my eyes and moisturizes it without causing any milia. Also, it works to control puffiness of my under-eye bags and the dark circles.
Benefit b.right triple performing facial emulsion SPF 15 PA++ 50ml ($28) – I’ll definitely recommend this for normal to combination skin, it even works for my dry skin for day time application. It already contains broad spectrum UV protection. It’s also not too thin for moisturizer but get soaked up quite fast onto the skin. Gives continuous hydration to the skin.
Benefit b.right foamingly clean facial wash 150ml ($21) – it’s not too high up on the list not because it’s not good, but because I have better ones with cheaper price. I especially love the scent and it’s light texture. It lathers up nicely even though you only use very little of it. It also feels non-drying on the skin.
Benefit b.right refined finish facial polish 150ml ($22) - the least favorite of the range because the scrubbing granules are too rough for my liking. But if you like that kind of thing, you’re going to love this because it also doesn’t dries up the skin.
The Benefit b.right range also available in eye makeup remover, which I haven’t tried yet so I can’t vouch for it, and also ultra radiance facial re-hydrating mist. I did try the mist during my visit to DFS Galleria Singapore, where the makeup artist applied it to set my makeup, giving that radiance finish to the whole look. I love the energizing smell from the product, as well as how it feels on the skin.
The Verdict: Definitely some of the products from this line is a keeper. I will definitely recommend this to someone that is looking for something simple in their skincare and trying to build up their skincare routine. For me personally, I’m considering to buy a full size of the moisturizer once mine runs out just to have something simple and comforting on stand-by. I’m also considering to get the mist.
What can be improved:I would love to see additional product such as serum to target specific concern, which the line is certainly lacking. Another thing is, I wish they would be available soon in Indonesia *crossing my fingers*.
