I’m Currently Using: Bliss ‘The Youth As We Know It’ Cleanser
Having a dry skin doesn’t necessarily mean that I’m all out for all things containing oil. In the contrary, I prefer my cleanser comes in cream or gel-based product. That’s why, I’m not a big fan of cleansing oil, though they’re one powerful cleansers.
That’s why, I grab the bottle of Bliss The Youth As We Know It Cleanser when I saw it on Market Plaza Mini Beauty Sale. The texture is thick milky lotion. It feels so wonderful on my skin! It has a slight mandarin scent but not too strong, I find it pleasant.
I use two to three pumps for my whole face. It feels like moisturizer on my face and when you massage it, it kind of dries out on the skin, thus why I use more than one pump on my face so I can massage it to dissolve my makeup. Performance-wise, it is able to dissolve my foundation – the light to medium coverage one . I also massage it to my eye area to dissolve my eye makeup, which dissolves my gel eyeliner and mascara quite well. The problem with cream-based cleanser is that it doesn’t bode well with cleansing the mascara, as it doesn’t reach out to the roots well. Which leads to another problem, you’ll need separate eye makeup remover to remove your eye makeup completely.
What’s so special about this cleanser? The Youth As We Know It range is Bliss’ anti-aging range. It is moisturizing, which will be also perfect for dry skin. It contains advanced moisture binders to slow water loss from the skin and enhances hydration even from the cleansing stage. It helps brighten the skin with the help with Vitamin C. Includes oxygen booster to encourage the cell turnover, so your skin will look smoother and more radiant.
It’s a bit pricey at $30 for 200ml, I imagine you will pay close to $40 by the time it reach your hand. But finding lotion like cleanser with added benefit is not that easy. I got to admit though, that my heart still beats faster for the Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Milk.
