Much to my dismay, though Kiehl’s eye cream products can’t be said as the belle of the ball, but every single one of them works for me. That’s why I keep of getting one after another. It’s not just about finding the best product but also about those that give me comfort. Every single one of Kiehl’s eye creams does just that, they are reasonably priced, and usually have good texture and sink in quite fast.
Looking to venture into Kiehl’s eye cream? Here I’ve got four of them that I’ve tried myself.
The claim ‘Younger Looking Eyes by Morning’ on the tube of this product may be too far-fetched, but I still think this eye cream is really good nonetheless. With Squalane (promote healing and replenish skin), Lavender Essential Oils (soothe and stimulate repair process), Evening Primrose Oil (skin barrier and radiance booster) and Buther’s Broom (depuff) as its key ingredients, it’s surely an eye cream that worth a second look. You may not get the instant result it promises, but over a period of time of usage, you’ll see that your eyes area is much smoother; gone are the days when you wake up with puffy eyes. Just the perfect eye cream to be used at night.
Upon application, you’ll feel a slight tightening on your eyes area. The texture is velvety upon application, which is surprising since it’s silicone-free. And, this is by far, the only depuffing eye cream that isn’t very creamy nor watery. It instantly dries. Therefore, though it’s way overpriced for only a depuffing eye cream, given the texture, I give it a positive review.
Who is it perfect for? Those who have sensitive eyes looking for a comforting eye cream and those that depuff and smooth your eyes area.
Wasn’t much of a brightening eye cream fans, but when the sales assistant at Kiehl’s counter suggested me to try this, I complied. First impression, the eye cream texture is very light and surprisingly gives a satiny finish. Since I have sensitive skin and slightly thinning skin, it feels very tingly and slightly hot upon application. The trick is to tap the product between your fingers first to ‘neutralize’ it before you tap it into your eyes area, and it works! Less tingling and warm feeling
The result? Dark circles aren’t exactly diminished, but they are slightly lightened. Fine lines don’t look too deep and dry, though they improved just slightly. I’ve been really freaking out about the crow feet that are appearing at the outer corner of my eyes – well, they look softer now. So, why do I keep using it? Because I see an overall improvement (though not too dramatic) and the texture is light and perfect to be used during the day.
The key ingredient in this product is the Pure Vitamin C 10.5% (L-Ascorbic Acid) that is know for its ability to improve the appearance of aging skin. Other ingredients include Haloxyl (soothe and brighten) and Bitter orange (stimulant for skin tone evenness).
Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado (Rp 300,000): Extra Hydration
This is simply for those looking for extra hydration in their eye cream. If you’re not, you’re not going to miss anything by skipping this one
Since I have a very dry skin, I love this product! This is one of the products that I’ll always fall back to when I’m not looking much from my eye cream. I rate it at the same place with Clinique All About Eyes; they both have a special place in my heart. I use it like the way they write it on Kiehl’s website: tap it until I feel a quick-burst release of hydration. Believe me, they do! I feel my eyes area are really wet after using this cream. But when I tap my fingers on the area, there are no excess water or sebum transferred into it.
With Avocado Oil (hydrating), Beta-Carotene (antioxidant) and Shea Butter (protection from dehydration and restoring skin’s suppleness), it’s surely the perfect product for those with dry skin eyes area.
Kiehl’s Eye Alert (Rp 245,000): Freshen and Depuff!
Hands down to one of my favourite Kiehl’s eye cream to date. No frill and not much promises in the horizon. It’s hard to get your expectation too high with this one, cause it only promises to energize and hydrate the eye area. Because of that very reason, I wasn’t disappointed at all with this.
It’s very watery and creamy and upon application it feels cooling and comforting. Check on energizing. After a whole day of use, the skin on the eye area doesn’t feel tight at all. That’s a check on hydrating. The bonus is, it seems to be a good depuffing eye cream as well! But if you’re in a hurry, I would still opt for Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Eye instead, cause it dries instantly. The good thing about this is, it’s one of the cheapest eye creams made by Kiehl’s.
Now that I got them all laid out, do you have any of the product that I’ve reviewed above? What do you think about them?
I’m going for my next target, to try on the Kiehl’s Abyssine Cream and Cryste Marine Firming Eye Treatment. If you’ve tried these two, please do tell me what you think.
