Ever since the mentioning of the release of NurZahra 2012 Resort Collection, I’ve been wondering how their collections would look like. Couldn’t help but wonder how the composition of shibori and indigo printing would be applied on muslim outfit. As reviewed before, in this resort collection, NurZahra is inspired by shibori pattern/technique, which actually means a Japanese method of dyeing cloth with a pattern by binding, stitching, folding, twisting, compressing it, or known as Japanese tie-dye. Synthesized with batik technique, giving it a local value. Adding its uniqueness and exclusivity, this collection uses indigo for blue colors, and other natural colors.

In IFW 2012 runway on February 24th, NurZahra performed no less than 24 sets of this new collection, and I have to say to my amazement, the sets are absolutely wearable, breezy and so versatile. NurZahra totally reigned the plus-point from its refreshing colors and crisp patterns, and definitely the perfect lightweight material choice. Colors selection ranges from indigo blue, earth yellow, nutmeg, and mahogany. One of the coolest looks in the lineup was the shibori circled long coat worn over a graphic stripe skirt.
