In collaboration with Elle and Marie Claire magazines, Mazda presented Mazda Style Parade that lasted from January 12-14, 2012 at the atrium of Gandaria City and it happened that I came to the second day of the event. On that day, 3 fashion brands paraded their latest collection; they are Ikat Indonesia, Ardistia New York and Mango.

Mango showcased 6 looks from their collection that were in store at the moment. The collection featured some floral-printed and bold-colors outfits that matched with black handbags and high heels.

Ikat is among Indonesian traditional textile that gets more and more popular. Although it isn’t as popular as batik, yet, this woven cloth has been transformed into many styles of clothing. Didit Maulana sees the potential of this traditional textile so he founded IKAT Indonesia that creates modern clothing made of ikat.

Although the label is named Ardistia New York, the designer is an Indonesian lady. After establishing her brand in New York about 4 years ago, Ardistia New York expanded its business in Indonesia in 2011. Ardistia Dwiasri, the designer behind this ready-to-wear label, claimed that clean line is her signature style. You can see her wearable and simple designs from the photos below.
