Yay or Nay: Duchess of Cambridge as the Queen of High-Street

seo-img-article

Imagine if you’re a princess, a queen-to-be, a duchess, or any kind of European royalty, what would you be wearing?

If it were me, I’d probably run to the nearest Hermes. But not Catherine ‘Kate’ Middleton.

Nearing the end of 2011, we believe the Duchess of Cambridge is one of the best-dressed people of the year. And if you have been tracking her style, you probably have noticed that Kate is a fan of affordable brands, such as Zara, Topshop, Reiss and Warehouse, and she has been photographed in many high-profiled occasions sporting those high-street brands.

Again, in Zara

Does it matter? Probably not, especially with her amazing figure, self-confidence, and her knack for mixing-and-matching her high-streets with higher end pieces (such as the Ralph Lauren jacket she wore with a Zara dress).

But maybe there’s an opinion that she should go for the more unique style and higher quality, and that means designer pieces. She is in the spotlight, you know, and being in the spotlight means you can’t afford any fashion emergencies. Thoughts?
