JFW2012 Day 5: Mesmerized by Shafira’s Charm

This is one show at Jakarta Fashion Week 2012 that I remember the most . First because ‘Some Kind of Wonderful’ chorus from Michael Buble, as the background music during the show. A crisp, joyful  tone, coupled with a row of fresh collection from Shafira in romantic colors, it really managed to cheer and bring happiness to all show-goers inside the tent.

‘The Mesmerizing Orientalism’ theme was inspired by a string of antique oriental motif outlined in silk, cotton silk with a digital print techniques. It was infused with a series of romantic pastel shades, from dusty pink, pale green, baby blue and fresh yellow  palette. Featuring trendy silhouette in the form of short or long jacket mixed with variations of pants and skirts. We won’t find any basic colors in the collection lines, so feel free to play with colors mix and match. As Shafira previous collection, I feel like these items were also intended as “travel wear”.

Not only casual and semi-formal looks, they also presented a sequence of elegant wear. With bold and solid colors, they definitely made a more mature set. I think the satin materials being used here is not too much, right? After all, the asymmetrical cut and drapery work here definitely completed the modern touch of Shafira 2012 collection.

Now are you also mesmerized by the sightings of these beautiful collections as I was?
