Fashionpedia: The Houndstooth Pattern

seo-img-article

I’m pretty sure that you often see the patterns displayed above. Known as the houndstooth, this textile is made of pattern of squares or crossed lines. This duotone textile pattern is different from the usual checks pattern because instead of the perfect checks the pattern is made by broken checks or abstract four-pointed shapes. Although houndstooth pattern is most often seen in black and white, but it’s also common to find this pattern in other colours too.

Houndstooth pattern is also known as dogstooth and originally made from woven wool cloth, but nowadays you can see it made from many other materials.

It’s one pattern that I think will remain in the classic side and everyone should have one houndstooth pattern item in their wardrobe.
