There’s nothing quite like browsing through rows of shoes to make a woman happy. I find going to a shoe store therapeutic at times when everything in life is just too hectic. There’s one particular shoe store that I like to visit every now and then because it’s conveniently located near our office, that is the Rococo Rack.
Rococo is a multi-brand shoe store that bring in various names of the latest shoe designer such as Jeffrey Campbell, House of Harlow, Elizabeth & James, Betsey Johnson, Michael Kors, Charles David and many more. Rococo Rack that is located at the Dharmawangsa Square 2nd Floor is no different. Except that not only that you’ll find the latest collection that is carried by Rococo but you can also find the off-season items there. The best part of it all is that because the items there are mostly off-season, they’re discounted from 20% up to 80%.
What I like about this place is that, the shoes are also displayed according to sizes, like shown on the above photo. So that you can just go straight to the aisle housing your size and see which pairs still have your size. Most likely, with discounted items, they often have broken sizes so that this solve the problem of asking the shop keeper which pairs still have your size.
A few tips from me when you go shoe shopping in an outlet like this:
- Ask whether they have a new pair of shoes that you want.
- If it’s a displayed items, check whether the two sides of the shoes have the same shape and colours. Usually because it has been put on display for long, the colour tends to be different.
- Check for any imperfection on your pair of shoes and whether if there’s any imperfection, it can be corrected or not.
- Don’t rush it, take your time to do the shopping or you might have just gone home with a pair of shoes that you don’t really need. Sometimes having too many choices can also blind your judgement.
Lastly, keep your eyes open. Sometimes a last pair could be discounted very steeply and if it’s meant to be yours, you’re definitely will go home with it.
Other than women shoes, Rococo Rack also carries men shoes, handbags and several accessories from CC Skye and Miriam Haskell.
What did we get from the Rococo Rack? I bought a pair of Charles Jourdan patent sling back heels that has been discounted for 70% for less than Rp 600,000! And Affi’s got a pair from Harajuku Lovers that were marked down for only around Rp 500,000.
