Since I’m very curious with this line, I gave this product a go. So in my 7 days trial I used Olay Total Effects 7 in 1 Facial Cleanser, Serum and Gentle Cream SPF 15.
Olay Total Effects 7 in 1 Facial Cleanser 100g Rp 40,000
The facial cleanser has a nice puffy consistency that I’m able to make it into quite a large foam. It has a really nice texture and it doesn’t leave my face tight nor dry. A plus point for me. I did hope it came with a nice subtle scent because it will help to revitalize my senses. Too bad this line doesn’t have any toner because using the facial cleanser in its own is not enough to cleanse my face and refresh it. So I pick up a different toner to pair with this.
Olay Total Effects 7 in 1 Serum 50ml Rp 110,000
It comes in a small bottle with a pump. I only need a pump of this serum and I can use it all the way to my neck. At first the consistency looks thick. But at the touch it feels really lightweight and it’s easily absorbed by my skin. It feels satiny when I put it on the face. When I used toner, this serum absorbs more easily.
Olay Total Effects 7 in 1 Gentle Cream SPF15 50g Rp 110,000
It’s another one put in a bottle with pump. It’s a big pump however which disperses quite large amount of product. I actually only need half of the product that it disperses for my face and neck. The cream is white and I thought with its SPF15 it will leave a white cast and not easily blended into the skin. I was wrong, it’s very thin and easily absorbed to the skin and leaves no white cast at all.
Overall Review
I was quite surprised by the formula of the products. I would have thought that everything would be very moisturizing and feels really wet on the face since it’s anti aging care. But instead, all of the formulation feels lightweight and dries instantly. I would say this is a perfect anti aging care for those in their early 20s who don’t need a very rich cream but want all the benefits that those rich anti aging cream offer. Although these products feel slightly drier than the usual products that I used, but I see that my face doesn’t experience any dehydration, I see no visible flakiness nor cracking.
I have a very dry skin, usually skincare that feels dry when I put them will leave my skin dehydrated. On top of that, since I’m fasting my skin feels drier than usual and I already see some flaking at the beginning of the fasting month. However, I see none at all. My complexion also doesn’t look dull, despite the lack of sleep. As for the other claimed, I can’t vouch for whether they work or not. I feel that this would also be a perfect skincare line for those with oily skin.
My verdict: if you’re looking for an entry level anti aging skincare and at an affordable price, this one is worth to consider. However, for those that have been using anti aging treatment you might want to skip it. You can say that this is anti aging skincare for beginner.
