It was the black peplum dress from Victoria Beckham Spring 2010 collection that was worn by so many celebrities that caught my attention. Like what Hanzky said when she explained about peplum, I love how it accentuates the waist and also hides my bulges. But I haven’t quite yet figured out how to wear it.
I especially love that there’s finally a change after the pencil skirt and bandage dress that looks so tight.
See how other celebrities wore theirs below:
Here’s a couple of tips from us if you want to invest in peplum:
If you want to invest in a dress, choose a fit that hangs in your body perfectly because the peplum cut will draw attention to your hips.
Since the attention will fall to your hips you also need to keep every other piece (if you’re wearing a skirt) or the top part of your dress simple.
Choose a light materials so that the peplum cut will not look too heavy on the hips.
