Scents We Want on Our Vanity Table

To shop smartly, is to know the correct timing to buy certain things. That is why I’m making my own perfume list so that I can keep track what I want now and later. Want to know what’s on my shopping list?



Burberry Weekend came to our table few weeks back. Weekend is always somewhat laid back and relaxing. This scent is fresh but not too overly young or summery. It’s more like a crisp spring. With a twist of grassy and fruity note on the first layer that came from the combination of mandarin and aromatic grassy notes. Followed by the blend of blue hyacinth, iris, nectarine, peach flower, red cyclamen and wild rose on the middle note and dry down with a combination of sandalwood, cedar and musk it’s a perfect day time fragrance. It’s available in 30ml (Rp 509,000), 50ml (Rp 719,000) and 100ml (Rp 969,000).


Bulgari Mon Jasmin Noir with its younger and seductive scent compare to its original Jasmin Noir that people tend to relate to a more mature scent because of its Jasmin note. Bulgari Mon Jasmin Noir scent is so intoxicating from the first spray until it reaches the base note. Perfect for a romantic dinner with your loved one or  first hot date. With a floral top notes consisting of golden cedrat and lily of the valley, he scent has a fresh beginning. Middle notes are a combination of sambac jasmine and angel wing jasmine that gives the elegant aura. Surprisingly the jasmine has a light elegant scent and not heavy as I expected. The fragrance then ended with musky nougatine and vibrant wood that gives a sensual base notes. Available in 25ml (Rp 600,000), 50ml (Rp 1,100,000) and 75ml (Rp 1,395,000) Eau de Parfum.

If you’ve been a fan of Coach bag, you will be happy to know that Coach has come out with a scent to match the mood of your bag. Coach Poppy Flower has been sold in over 1,400 department and specialty store in the U.S. since last year, but this year Estee Lauder Cos. is ready to bring it to more doors domestically and internationally. Really can’t wait to try to sniff it myself! But if you can’t wait for it to arrive to our shore, the best way to get it is through custom purchase.

The fragrance is described as a citrus fruity floral scent that has a mix of wet ivy, grapefruit and mandarin as the top notes. At the heart of the fragrance is a combination of jasmin petals, muguet and peony that bring that floral scent and as a base notes the fragrance includes sugared raspberry, amberwood, musk and sandalwood. The Eau de Parfum comes in three sizes 30ml ($45), 50ml ($65) and 100ml ($85).


Bottega Venetta Woman is the perfect scent after a refreshing holiday as it has a calm and soothing scent. Tomas Maier the creative designer of the design house said that the scent of this fragrance depicts “… a room with old wood floors, library walls and leather bound books with the windows open wide, the breeze coming in and cut grass, hay, moss, garden flowers, growing through the room and everything mixing up. ”

This vision is brought to life by Michel Almairac of Robertet by blending notes such as patchouli, oak moss, Italian bergamot, Indian sambac jasmine, Brazilian pink peppercons and Indian patchouli. This fragrance comes in various sizes of Eau de Parfum in 50ml ($95) and 75ml ($130) as well as special edition Extrait de Parfum in 90ml ($395) that will only be available at Bottega Venetta boutiques worldwide. As for the EDP itself, it will be available exclusively at Harrods U.K from 17 July onward and the rest of the country from 14 August. It will only be available to the U.S. in September.

A new addition to the CK One franchise which core user is 35 to 45 years old, CK One Shock is targeted for a more younger audience or can also be translated to a perfect day to day scent. With floral top notes of passion flower, pink peony and jeweled poppy flower and middle note of blackberry, jasmine, narcisse flower and liquid chocolate accord. As the base note CK One Shock has a blend of magnetic ambers, vanilin, patchouli and second skin musk. If you’re a fan of the original CK One, it’s time to bring a newer meaning to your infatuation.

The fragrance that will be launched in the U.S. in September will be available in Eau de Toilette 50ml ($40), 100ml ($50) and mega size of 200ml ($65).


Essentially green fragrances are mostly for male, but Balenciaga L’Essence came to shake the women fragrances world. Instead of going to an exotic place to find meaning to your life, why don’t you venture into this not so traditional fragrance. With violet leaves as the center of the fragrance note combine with vetiver that leaves a grassy green scent.

Neiman Marcus will be the one to sell this fragrance for the first two month beginning in September and the rest of the world will be launching this in November onward which I hope includes our shore. Available in three sizes of Eau de Parfum; 30 ml ($75), 50 ml ($95) and 75 ml ($130).
