Pour La Victoire Walking into the Handbags Market

seo-img-article

A pair of shoes without a bag seemed such an absurd idea for women. Pour La Victoire co-founder and CEO Jay Adoni said about the brand decision to tap into the handbags market seems like an obvious move since, as quoted “It’s the number one and two accessory on a women’s body.”

Since the launch in 2007, Pour La Victoire has certainly left a footprint on the shoe market. Tapping into the lower end of the luxury market with their edgy, yet good quality shoes they have been quite successful even though the brand was launched just when the recession hit.

Kenny Horowitz, the president of the handbags said that “The $295 to $495 price point is really the zone that handbags are working,” because people nowadays want value for money when they purchase their handbags. We would expect something within the same line of their shoes, good quality but still looks luxurious and affordable too. According to Horowitz, metal minaudières, smooth rectangular leather totes, fashion-forward hobos adorned with astrakhan fur and square, embossed croc leather satchels will be some of the items from the handbags line.

The first batch of the bags will be available at Nordstrom at the end of this month. If you can’t wait to get your hands on it, there’s always someone opening a Pre-order from Nordstrom at our very own Market Plaza. Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdale’s will follow suit in selling the Pour La Victoire bag beginning in July and August.
