Maybelline held a one week of celebration to show their appreciation to their customer to the enthusiasm they received for the Moisture Extreme Lipstick up to this day. The celebration that is called ‘Celebration of Color’ was held from 25 April to 1 May 2011 at the atrium of Plaza Semanggi. They had Maybelline Fashionable Runway Show that showcased to 30 finalists of Maybelline girls showing the full range of Moisture Extreme Lipstick. There was also performance by Sherina followed by talk show joined by Ary Kirana where they shared their beauty secret and their favourite Maybelline lipstick colour.
I myself always favour nude lipstick for daily use found myself the perfect lipstick shade for me, that is the Maybelline Moisture Extreme Lipstick Honey Ginger (936). It has a nice nude shade that is closed to my lip colour and suitable for my medium skintone. What I love about this lipstick is not only that it’s affordable at only Rp 32,000 but it’s also very moisturizing and the colour is opaque enough to cover my lips colour. It has a nice glossy finish and it applies thin layer that looks natural on the lips.
To achieve the perfect lip look, Maybelline share with us the some application tips:
- For the upper lips, apply lipstick using brush in small stroke motion and follow the contour of your lips.
- For the lower lips, follow step 1 and, to even out the colour, don’t close your lips together because application using brush will give a more natural and even-out finish.
- To avoid lipstick stain on your teeth, create an O shape with your mouth and push a third of your index finger in between it so that the excess lipstick will be transferred into your finger and not to your teeth. See the picture on the right to have clearer idea.
