Who (or What) Is Miriam Haskell?

seo-img-article

Have you ever heard of Miriam Haskell? It’s okay if you haven’t. I had no idea about Miriam Haskell either when Ditya Nabiel, public Relations of Rococo Group invited me to come to Rococo and have a fruitful chat about Miriam Haskell. I even googled Miriam Haskell and I was stunned that she was popular for creating beautiful costume jewelries.

Miriam Haskell opened her first boutique Le Bijou De L’Heure in 1926 in New York, establishing Miriam Haskell as a leading jewelry line. She created collections for the society women of her day, the lavish productions of Flo Ziegfeld, as well as the couture of Coco Chanel. Joan Crawford, Lucille Ball, the Duchess of Windsor and First Lady Michelle Obama were among her greatest patrons.Until now, Miriam Haskell offers the utmost in style and quality by creating hand-crafted jewelry with keen attention to detail.

For your information, Haskell also designs and distributes an extensive private label program for major retailers such as Macy’s, Dillard’s, JC Penney, Target, Kohl’s, Steinmart, Nordstrom, Old Navy and GAP. Haskell produces Worthington Classic for JC Penney; Xhilaration at Target and Simply Vera Vera Wang & Sonoma at Kohl’s. Most recently, Haskell has signed an exclusive license agreement with Gwen Stefani’s brand Harajuku Lovers to manufacture and distribute the Harajuku Lovers jewelry line starting Spring 2010.

Beside the premium line, Miriam Haskell, she also created another line name M. Haskell that is more affordable in price for mid-tier costumer but still providing up-to-date trend and impeccable design. This line, M. Haskell, is now within your reach since it’s available in Rococo stores. According to Ditya, the prices of these jewelries are above Rp. 100,000 but still less than Rp. 1 million.

The latest collection of M. Haskell I saw in Rococo has quite various designs, ranging from colorful necklaces and bangles that suit casual summer style, to more dressy pieces that look good with semi-formal and formal attires. Tempted to see those M. Haskell pieces? Meet them in any Rococo stores located in Plaza Indonesia, Plaza Senayan, Grand Indonesia and Pacific Place.
