When we hear the word goddesses, we may connect it  with pastel colors, plain fabric without any motif. But Diane von Furstenberg translates “Goddesses” differently with its Spring/Summer collection.

It all started when we took our first walk together through Paris to see the Isadora Duncan show,” stated Diane von Furstenberg and Yvan Mispelaere.  Big and bold motifs, vibrant colors filled the runway, creating loud statement about the collection. Goddess is said to be living fantasy, expressing freedom and celebrating beauty.

Bold prints such as wave and rolling scroll motif on these above photos were commonly found on the runway. Black and white were the dominant colors in the printed fabric, but flash of other colors were also spotted such as yellow, green and pink.

Classic and glamorous feelings were obtained by adding a glimmering pieces such as sequined top on the above left photo, or by adding detail on the hips area like the right photo.

Dianne von Furstenberg also taught us how to wear belted bag. When you have already worn a printed top, choose simple belted bag that the same shade with your outfit.

Don’t hesitate in combining the colors. As Diane von Furstenberg does, shades of bright red, cobalt blue and deep violets successfully created contrast and compliment.

Last but not least, the collection also presented bright colored liquid silk dresses with drape across the body. As shown in above photos, the dresses are easy to wear and easy to move in.
