If you’re a fan of Longchamp bags, then you must know that in Asia, Hong Kong is the place to go to find the best deal to get your lovely bags and they also carry lots of the Limited Edition as well. Longchamp opened its first flagship store in Hong Kong back in 1979, but it is in 2011 that they open La Maison 8, the biggest Longchamp Flagship store in Asia and second biggest in the world.
The opening party was attended by hundreds of socialites and celebrities including Kate Moss, who have worked with Longchamp for a very long time. Kate Moss dazzled the crowd with her black and beige cheongsam paired with a Kate Moss for Longchamp Spring collection. In attendance at the opening is the Longchamp’s CEO Jean Cassegrain and many of his family member, since it is after all a family business.
This flagship store, located at No. 8 Queen’s Road Central in Hong Kong, is around 3,100-square-foot and the location in it’s own is a lucky charm to Longchamp. The store was designed by American architect Eric Carlson of Carbondale.
There’s good news for the Longchamp Limited Edition Handbag hunters! To celebrate the opening of the flagship store, Longchamp introduced a commemorative handbag as a tribute to Hong Kong. Longchamp La Maison 8 Bag features Hong Kong’s regional emblem of the HKSAR as well as printing patterns that tell the story of the history of the brand. The bag is only available at La Maison 8 and sold for HK $ 2,888.
