Eye shadow palettes never fail to make you reach out your brushes and start playing with them.

I was feeling rather sleepy in the office one day and saw this Urban Decay Book of Shadows Vol. III on my desk and immediately, I felt like experimenting with the colors. The palette is full of gorgeous eye shadows. Some are shimmery and some are glittery, and the shades are really excellent to combine with one another so you’ll get plenty of combination with this palette. Too bad, the glitter on some of the eye shadows are too chunky that they fall all over my face when I used them.

It also comes with a cool illustration pop-up that depicts New York City when you open it. I guess you can use this as a decorative element in your vanity table ๐Ÿ™‚

I decided to try the peacock shade (Haight) which I combined with pale gold (Maui Wowie) and with a little black (Perversion) on the outer corners. For my brow bone, I used Midnight Cowboy Rides Again, which is a really nice beige shade if not for the hard-core glitter ๐Ÿ™‚ To finish it off, I line my eyes using Ransom 24/7 Eye Pencils. You can’t go wrong with Urban Decay 24/7 pencils, they are smooth to apply, long-wearing and come in a wide range of beautiful shades.

For lips, I put on MAC See-Thru Lip Color in Tender Tryst from Rose Romance collection, to give it a little Autumn-y mood. I love the color of this product, it’s a very pretty dark plum with soft gold shimmer but for some reason, it refuses to stick to my upper lip and the formula is very drying.

By the way, I’ve been using a new shampoo, Dove Damagetherapy Intense Care and I loooove how it makes my hair feel soft, silky and glossy. I also came to the launch party. Will post more about it soon!
