Why does Jimmy Choo only produced women’s shoes? To all fashionable men out there, now there’s no more reason to envy women. Jimmy Choo is about to launch its men’s collection in Fall/ Winter 2011.

“It has always been part of my long term vision for Jimmy Choo as a luxury lifestyle brand to be for both men and women. The Jimmy Choo for H&M flash lifestyle collection in 2009 had a strong component of men’s shoes, ready-to-wear and accessories, which sold out globally within a week and really demonstrated to us a significant demand for Jimmy Choo men’s products. The first thing I look at on a man is his shoes,” said Tamara Mellon, Founder and Chief Creative Officer of Jimmy Choo according to UK Vogue.

“The collection fuses modern British style with luxurious Italian craftsmanship. Lightweight structures are crafted with amazing handwork,” she continued. Explaining about the material of those men shoes, she mentioned  real crocodile, hand burnished calf, classic spazzolato, rugged suede, glossy patent and exotic stamped leathers and printed hair calf.

“It is really designed for the man on the arm of the Jimmy Choo woman, following the same theme of going out, whether it be to work, to the shops, to dinner or a club. The Jimmy Choo man is one who exudes confidence and style whether he is an artist or an investment banker, and is understated but has an individual flare. He has a knowledge of fashion and an understanding of the quality and the finish of his clothing. Attention to detail in his accessories are important to him and distinguish him from his peers,” Mellon talked as she seemed to be quite sure about the target market of Jimmy Chooo men’s collection.

Pretty soon, your pair of Jimmy Choo can go alongside with your man, side by side.
