Amanda Seyfried: The New Face of Cle de Peau Beaute

Amanda Seyfried has been named Cle de Peau’s newest face. Cle de Peau Beaute and their belief that every individual is different and needs different approach seemed to be fitting by choosing Seyfried with her unique flawless complexion as their new face. Previous faces representing Cle de Peau Beaute were mostly models such as the German model Tony Garrn whose face has been on the recent Spring 2010 campaign and Ukrainian model Snejana Onopka.

Seyfried said that one of the factors that made her take the decision to become the new face for Cle de Peau Beaute was because of their renowned skin care line as well as it’s high end cosmetics. Her first ad campaign will be shot by David Sims that will be seen first in Japan at the earliest before new year or early next year. Whereas in the U.S. the campaign can be seen from March onward.

During her 25th birthday, Seyfried along with Heidi Manheimer the Chief Executive Officer of Shiseido Cosmetics America joined a luncheon at Manhattan’s ABC kitchen to announce this good news as well as giving the media the update on Cle De Peau’s skin care range. The good news is apparently the proprietary Illuminating Complex that will be added to their seven existing products which includes La Creme that recently retails for $525 for 30 ml. Illuminating complex is composed of a range of ingredients that includes natural silk and pearl extracts and according to Manheimer will “helps\ to regulate and maintain the life of skin cells from birth, reducing cellular stress and restoring balance by controlling the quality of information transmitted to the cell’s brain center,” she also added that “The result is healthier, more translucent cells with optimum nanostructures capable of producing and capturing light from within.”

Anyway, we can’t wait to see how the campaign ad would look like. Since we won’t be able to see it until March next year, what about some pictures from previous Cle de Peau Beaute with Toni Garrn and Snejana Onopka on them? But I wouldn’t mind seeing some colourful makeup on Seyfried for the next campaign ad :)
