JFW 10/11 Day 2: Billy Tjong Turns Casual Into Sexy

seo-img-article

Billy Tjong presented the collection from his new label that can be bought at his website www.billytjong.com at the Fashion Promenade. The show was opened with a street dance by the B-Boys which was only fitting to depict the spirit of the collection that’s inspired by the American ghetto style.

The ready to wear collection from Billy Tjong is available for both men and women. Through this collection, I can see that casual doesn’t always mean limited choice. It also doesn’t always mean baggy pants, ugly tracksuit pants and oversize tees.

The collection although still uses pieces often seen at any other casual label, but it’s given an extra touch by Billy Tjong such as airbrushed paint sprayed on the surface of several top, use of materials which were not often seen for a casual attire and a twist here and there to complete the collection. I’m beginning to think that wearing a track suit outside the comfort of my bedroom can be cool! It is if the tracksuit is layered with a cute pink tulle like the one displayed below. And, casual can be sexy too according to Billy Tjong, just look at the cut of the top and the pleated mini dress 🙂

If you miss his show on Sunday, fret not because he will also showcase his collection at the Fashion council Presents LPM Graduates along with other LPM graduates on Thursday, 7 November 2010 at 8.30 PM.
