Collections by the LPTB Susan Budihardjo Graduates
To celebrate the 30th year of LPTB Susan Budihardjo, on the 21 October 2010 at Hotel Mulia Senayan, a reunion fashion show was held with the theme Iconic Silhouette. There were 160 models used which showcased designs from 73 collections of 2010 graduates, collections from 11 best graduates, 10 finalists of shoe design competition and also 10 finalists of Vinzo fashion design competition. At the end of the show, there were also 42 alumnus from LPTB Susan Budihardjo which showcased their creations.
It was sure a colourful and unique night for me. There were so many different creations which I think was just the beginning of these graduates. Hopefully, when they ascend to real world, they can design something that is more wearable for us the real people.
However, seeing the creations of the alumnus that night was pretty interesting. Especially those who have set their print on Indonesia’s fashion scene and seeing them that night at the place of their humble beginning – LPTB Susan Budihardjo. Of course the graduates collection can’t be compared to those of the alumnus, but it shows that these alumnus were once too fresh graduate who were ready to bloom into the real world
