The “fashion week” fever had not stopped yet. This time Ritz-Carlton hotel, Mega Kuningan, includes culinary, and photography too. Ritz-Carlton held its Food and Fashion Week in Asia restaurant from Oct. 6 to Oct. 10.
“As fashion week was held in several countries, we are trying to capture the trend and transform it into our theme,” said M. Rajab, Asia restaurant manager. Unlike other fashion weeks that mostly offer fashion shows by noted designers only, Asia restaurant offered French haute cuisine, also displayed fashion painting and photography exhibition.
Around 20 Indonesian designers such as Lenny Agustin, Ronald V. Gaghana, Ocha Collection and so on joined to spice up the event. The fashion show was performed as the opening of Food and Fashion Week on Oct. 6. Besides being shown on the runway, the collection was also displayed at Asia restaurant and it could be purchased with 20% discount during the event. Handbags and jeweleries were also added to complete the display.
And for the photo and painting exhibition, Sylvia Nugroho’s creations were spotted in Asia restaurant’s passage and in several corners too.
Chef Rudolf Blattler with his team were those behind all mouth-watering food in the festival. Some of their specialties were Paupietto, Beef Fillet in Brioche with Duck Liver, Sauce Perigueux (carving), Mussels and Clams “Mariniere”. Asia restaurant provided them all with buffet price Rp. 198,000 ++ per person.
