More Streetwear Choices from Superdry

If you are running out of  comfortable yet stylish outfit for daily activities, Superdry may be your next shopping destination. After all there may come a time when a girl needs to lay low and wants to opt for  more comfortable outfit right?

Seeing kanji or Japanese writing on some of the designs might mislead us to think that the company is Japan-based. Actually, it is just a part of the design, inspired by designer’s trip from Japan.

Superdry is an internationally renowned UK fashion brand offering quality detailed clothing and accessories. It operates a multi-channel business through a combination of Superdry and Cult standalone stores, Superdry concessions, as well as UK and international wholesale.

Curently, Superdry branded products are sold in over 20 countries. Superdry first standalone store in Asia was launched June 2010 in Plaza Indonesia 1st floor, Jakarta.

Superdry has nothing to do with “fast-dry” technology or anything of the sort. The name was chosen because the founder was previously running a laundry service so he named the brand with Superdry.

According to Vita Ismo, Brand Manager of  Superdry Plaza Indonesia, Superdry’s core products are T-shirts and Osaka tees. They have number of details such cracked-paint and double-brushed fabric.

For its Autumn/ Winter 2010 collection, Superdry offers the item in two categories: biker wear and vintage thrift.

The jacket collection expands to include waxed cotton biker jacket,  jet stream jacket, ultimate sheepskin flight jacket, oversized detailing and parachute pack zippers. Not to forget, the black bear hood with faux fur lining is new for this season.

Vintage thrift category is exclusively made for women. It maintains a feminine feel with lace applique straps mix with velvet and ribbon trim to complete the era style.

Other items  such as soft knit cardigans and boy-style blazer are some of interesting findings that suitable for us in tropical country Indonesia since the materials are light and not too thick.
