Oscar de la Renta may be known for the slightly smoldering eyes and velvety skin the models are usually seen with on the runway, but not this Spring! Although the idea is to have a look of a young girls who are just coming into their womanhood or the new debutantes, hearing the word debutantes all can think about is Cotillion ball and boring colours on the face. However the eyes on de la Renta’s runway is really captivating and not in any way it can be associated with the word boring.
The eyes are really solid and the colours truly pop out in hues of bright green and blue. The makeup artist in charge for this show, Gucci Westman for Revlon said that she wants to work a “fab eye” into the royal coming-out party. She used her fingers to blend the bright green shade from Revlon ColorStay 12 Hour Eyeshadow Quad in Silver Fox outward and as she worked it upward she created more transparency to the colour. Revlon Matte Eyeshadow in Venetian Blue was also used to complete the elegant and classy look of de la Renta, giving it a twist and character to the whole look. You might want to go easy with the blue there, since the eyeshadow is matte, it doesn’t hurt to apply it layer by layer lighthandedly.
