The best thing is to look natural, but it takes makeup to look natural
Calvin Klein

That is one quote that would never seized to make me laugh when reading it. Yes looking natural, with healthy glowing skin is what everyone will look most beautiful. But it’s one look that is not as easy as it said, it actually need a lot of makeup. For Calvin Klein RTW Spring 2011 show, Pat McGrath has done the Calvin Klein’s look – natural. The girl at the runway looks stunning because their skin looks so healthy from within and it’s unbelievably glowing!

Pat McGrath said that simplicity is the keyword here. She said, “I wanted the girls to look fresh, natural and completely clean.”

To create this look she used only a hint of foundation applied onto the skin. Liberally applied Cover Girl Lash Blast on the top lashes only. She said that she wanted the lashes to be superlong and cloggy, making it the center of the face look. Line the lower inner part of the eye with beige eye pencil. For the lips she applied new Cover Girl product called Nature Luxe lip balm which is a clear formula balm that will be coming out in December.

See … it takes a lot of effort to actually looks natural. The most important thing when you want to go natural is actually to prep your skin correctly. Do not forget to cleanse it and moisturize it so it will look supple. Skin that is lacking in moisture will look dull and you will see a lot of cracking on it. Therefore, it will be impossible to look natural if your skin is not prep correctly. It also helps to use primer that has light reflecting particles such as Urban Decay Brightening Complexion Primer Potion and MAC Strobe Cream that will help to build that glow from within look.

Thakoon models are also sporting the natural look for his RTW Spring 2011. Diane Kendal for NARS whose responsible for creating the look said that it was inspired by nature, clouds and linens. The lips were nude with the touch of the new NARS Pure Matte and Velvet Gloss Lip Pencil in Hopi. Golden highlighter were used to contoured the cheeks as well as on the center of the face and nose to accentuate this part. For the eyes, beige eye shadow were used in the corner of the eye and lined underneath the eyelids and above the eyes, blending out. Mascara was skip altogether! NARS bronzer in Laguna was used on the apples of the cheek light handedly, Kendal said “We wanted to keep them cool, edgy and confident, and infuse them with pops of gold.”
