Perhaps Fall/Winter 2009/2010 would be the starting point to kiss ankle boots goodbye. Louis Vuitton, Prada, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Marc Jacobs, Hussein Chalayan, Rodarte and Emilio Pucci are screaming the same thing; “The higher, the better!” and it’s become practically clear that thigh-high boots are now served on the trend’s plate. It was pretty hard to assure myself that this kind of boots is actually great for fashion forward especially, as we would associate thigh high boots to fetishism and hookers (but I believe not so many hookers here in Jakarta wearing this boots, anyway). But I guess it depends on the material of the shoes, though. If it’s made by leather and/or suede and we can pull it off just right, I’m sure it won’t look tacky.

However, in my honest opinion, thigh high boots couldn’t be flattering to every types of body shape. Only women graced with long and skinny legs who can pull it off beautifully. Well that’s just my opinion, so Ladies, tell me what you think. 🙂
