Kate Spade will no longer design the bags that bear her name. The brand was sold to Liz Claiborne for $124 million last November and part of the contract was that she will sit in the designer chair for another 6 months. Well, 6 months have passed and it’s now time for her to leave the design team and just stay as members of the board for Liz Claiborne. We’ll see how the new bags turn out. I hope the new designer maintain the simple, classic yet stylish that we all have grown to love from Kate Spade.
