Chicago Trip..=)

Sorry for the lack of updates these last few days. I went to Chicago since Friday afternoon and just got back late Sunday night. I brought my laptop with me and planning to update but got too tired when I arrived back at the hotel. Yea I walked too much from trying to score some deals..:D. I’ve tried updating from my blackjack, but that thing died on me. Oh well…

Chicago offers sooo many choices for shopping. I love the city, it’s like a mini New York, but I think the landscape is more beautiful. Must visit when you go to Chicago are; Michigan Avenue (where the shops are), Millennium Park (where some unique architectures are located from some of the world’s famous architect like Frank Gehry, etc.), Navy Pier, Sears Tower, The Field Museum Area and don’t forget to take the Chicago Architectural Boat Tours on the Chicago river.

For shopping, of course you can always go to Michigan Avenue and State street, everything is in there from Payless to Neiman Marcus. But I’m a bargain hunter and Chicago is home to my favorite discounted store like Nordstrom rack (, Off 5th Avenue ( and Filene’s Basement. These three stores are located right next to each other in Schaumburg, 30 minutes from downtown. Ikea is right around the corner too, and Portillos (the best fast food in town) is in the area. There’s a big shopping mall and any stores or eating establishments imaginable. It really is a one stop shopping experience in Schaumburg.

There’s an outlet too in Aurora, the outskirt of Chicago. Not as big as this one but not bad at all. Some of the stores are; BCBG, CK, Coach, Adidas, Puma, Lacoste, Diesel, Benetton, Kate Spade, Giorgio Armani, Kenneth Cole, Miss Sixty, Max Mara, Ferragamo, Theory, Tahari, etc. It’s definitely worth the drive..=)
