Forever 21 to acquire Gadzooks

seo-img-article

21_1I don’t know if many of you know Gadzooks, I don’t think I’ve seen the store anywhere in St. Louis, but I know Carbondale has one..maybe only smaller cities have Gadzooks?..Anyway..the company has gone through bankruptcy and Forever 21 has bought the company out of it. I don’t know if they are going to turn the store into a Forever 21 (but Gadzooks store are way smaller than a typical Forever 21 store) or still run them as Gadzooks with a whole different concept. By the way, Wetseal is also in the process of selling 150 stores and Forever 21 might pick up some of the real estates. Forever 21 is on a roll..they are planning to go public and start selling men’s clothes and now they also have 2 stores in United Arab Emirates and one in Singapore (basement Wisma Atria). They have been doing really good in Singapore, the clothes are quickly flying off the shelves as soon as they were displayed.

In the meantime, Jakarta’s fashion minded individual on a budget can enjoy Orange. It’s a store with similar concept with Forever 21, offering trendy clothes at affordable prices. They have everything from the little black dress everyone needs to jeans, blazer, casual and trendy tops (ranging from Rp 50,000 to Rp 200,000). They have stores in Mall Kelapa Gading 3, Blok M Plaza and Taman Anggrek. The store is always crowded and there’s always a long line in the fitting room. But they don’t always have the nicest collection though as some are a little bit dangdut and the colors are just too nge jreng..but there’s always something nice that you can get in there. I’m not sure about the quality though, I bought one blazer last december that still hold up well, but Ihaven’t washed it..and I have one pants from there that I haven’t worn it yet so I  can’t tell you anything about it. But I’m sure the quality won’t be that bad and with the price that cheap..who’s complaining?
